I specialize in "natural glam" or soft glam. While I love to do all styles of makeup, my favorite is an elevated version of yourself. My motto is "let your beauty shine through" because, I believe in showing your personality through your makeup.
I got my start assisting my cousin Kylie in 2012 as a high school freshman. After I graduated high school, I attended Make Up First School of Makeup Artistry in Chicago, IL. I worked as a bridal, editorial, and retail makeup artist from 2016-2018. In 2018, I attended Blanche MacDonald Centre in Vancouver, BC. I studied every kind of makeup artistry earning my diploma in Global Makeup Artistry. All while still working bridal, editorial, and special fx in my free time. I moved back home to the Chicago suburbs at the start of Covid-19 and continued my education by learning from masterclasses. This is my 12th year working in the wedding and bridal industry and I absolutely love it!
Yes! I personally only do makeup for weddings. I do offer light hairstyling for photoshoots or editorial work only.
I have a great team of hair stylists and makeup artists that work with me when needed.
As someone with many allergies and sensitive skin, there isn't one product in my kit that I personally haven't tested out. This being said, if you have any known allergies or sensitivities, please let me know so I can triple check all my ingredient lists. We can always do a test patch on your wrist to be safe.
To reserve your date a signed contract and non-refundable retainer are required.
For weddings there is a minimum of 4 services per artist. If the 4 services per artist cannot be met then an automatic gratuity of 20% will be added to the total.
For destination weddings there is a 1 bride + 4 services per artist minimum + 20% automatic gratuity added to the total. There is a 5 service minimum for any additional artists needed.
Brianna Lynn Makeup, LLC accepts all major credit cards, cash, Venmo, or Zelle payments. Cash retainers are not accepted at this time.
Travel fees are $0.65/mile outside of a 15mile radius.
All locations with a Chicago address have a $50 travel fee per artist.
Bridal previews are not required but are highly recommended. They are a great way to try out your day of look and explore different options.
If you are an out of state bride, and would like to do a Zoom consultation, please let me know.
It is recommended to schedule your bridal preview anywhere from 3-6 months out. I personally recommend 3 months out. Please note that all bridal previews are done on weekdays (Monday-Friday) at Brianna's home studio.
That is totally okay! Just please note that we do not hold your date until we have a signed contract and non-refundable retainer. We book on a first come first serve basis.
Yes, if you decide to change up your look or just would feel more confident with a second preview we can get you on the books for a second preview. Please note that all previews cost the same as your first preview.
If you are getting ready at a venue where a parking fee is involved, then our parking fee is added to the bill. I typically use valet parking at hotels because each artist typically has 2-3 bags, a chair, and a light with them. Hotels often provide complimentary parking for wedding vendors, but you must set that up in advance; otherwise, parking fees can be charged to your room or paid on the day of the event.
All day of wedding services are done on-site. For any previews, makeup lessons, or any other single makeup or hair service is done at my home studio.
Please be confident in your number of services when signing a contract. Once the contract is signed that number cannot go down. So if anyone were to no longer want a service you would still be charged for the service. What I would recommend in this case, is to ask if someone else would like to get their makeup or hair done.
We can totally add more people to day of services once the contract is signed. A new contract with the additional number of services will be drawn up and signed by both parties. But, please be sure in this number as once the contract is signed that number cannot go down.
